Arbroath lies on the North Sea coast of Scotland, around 16 miles ENE of Dundee and 45 miles SSW of Aberdeen. The town is served by main line transport links.

By Train

Arbroath station is on the main line from Edinburgh and Glasgow up to Aberdeen, just over 15 minutes north of Dundee. There are several direct trains from London and Newcastle each day.

By Bus

There are regular local buses from Dundee including the number 39. From Aberdeen the X7 stops at Arbroath Bus Station. Connecting buses to Edinburgh, Glasgow and elsewhere can be caught in Dundee.

Arbroath is well served by cycle routes and can be reached via the superb  Sustrans North Sea Cycle Route .

By Car

From the Central Belt of Scotland, follow signs for Perth, Dundee or the Tay Bridge, and onward on the A92 or A90 to reach Angus.

From the south Arbroath is under 30mins drive north on the A92 from Dundee.

From Inverness and the North, divert from the A9 at Dunkeld for Blairgowrie and then Kirriemuir, or follow signs for Coupar Angus, then Forfar. From Aberdeen, follow signs for the A90 or A92. Or the slightly longer route but very scenic along the east coast take the A93 and the B974.

By Air

There are direct flights from London Stansted Airport in to Dundee and regular flights to Edinburgh, Glasgow and Aberdeen and travel from these cities is straight forward.
